DVD Review: Mickey Mouse Season One
You know what’s INSANE about this release? In the past Disney (and they aren’t the only ones to do this) likes to release DVDs featuring fantastic brands like Gravity Falls, but with garbage episode counts and special features. Fortunately, that is NOT the case with Mickey Mouse.
You get all the shorts that have aired on Disney Channel for the last while, but really cool is the bonus ”The Making of Disney Mickey Mouse”. In it we get to see the producers talk about their inspirations for the Mickey Mouse character and how they more or less rebooted the character for a modern era. How they did it was truly remarkable, and yea I would’ve like to have seen a bit more ‘behind the scenes’ for both this featurette and others, but for under $10 you really can’t go wrong here.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
