The producers of Squidbillies really should be considered as music aficionados when it comes to discovering new musicians and groups to cover the show’s opening theme. For the most part, I’ve never heard of the majority acts that they select to do the honors, but others may have because this show still does awesome in the ratings.
The latest effort the producers of Squidbillies have tapped is King Khan and the Shrines and you can watch it below. New episodes of Squidbillies air Sunday Nights @ 11:45 pm ET/PT, check your local listings.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
