Merch Murmurs: ‘The Simpsons’ To Release More Figures of Famous Guest Stars
Adding to their “25 of the Greatest Guest Stars” figurine line, The Simpsons merch department has announced a slew of new famous faces.
This wave (the fourth of the set) includes musicians Tom Jones, Elvis Costello, and Aerosmith, alongside astronaut Buzz Aldrin. The greatest addition, however, is none other than the Prince of Parodies himself: “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Previous releases saw the likes of The Who, Kid Rock, James Brown, Britney Spears, Leonard Nemoy, and Tony Hawk.
The toys are the perfect complement to a child’s collection, a college student’s dorm room, or the dusty shelves of a 30-something year old virgin who still lives at home.
And me. So shut up and take my money!
The figures are expected to be released in October.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
