DVD Review: American Dad Volume 9

For the first time ever, American Dad joins the MOD-style of DVD releases with the likes of Bob’s Burgers and The Cleveland Show. Included are all 19 episodes for around $30 so you actually get a good value on the release versus buying each individual episode online. However, in this day and age of Hulu and Netflix, the price justification is just not there without any decent special features. As a matter of fact, the release isn’t even an uncensored one which sucks because that was usually my favorite part of the American Dad DVD releases.

If you have the first eight volumes of American Dad on DVD and you simply need to buy this for the completionist in you, fine. Unfortunately, for everyone else, you should just save your cash and put it on a horse race of some kind. You’d have better odds at a good return.
