English Dub Review: The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt “The Class Monitor is a Klutz/The School Girl’s Friends Get Involved With The Klutz/The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Health Representative”
Overview:
Poem learns the nagging class monitor is an idiot who lives nearby. Her friends learn they’re growing close.
Our Take:
I can’t remember the last time I heard Adam Gibbs in an anime that wasn’t on HiDive or a Sentai dub. I know that those are technically the same thing, but cut me a break. Having him and Alexis Tipton as the leads is definitely a recipe for success, and I wish the title of this show wasn’t so odd. But the characters are great, and with Ian Sinclair voicing the narrator, it feels like we’re reliving the Kaguya-sama days.
Sakuradaimon is the name of the klutzy prefect, and Poem is the girl with the short skirt. I really like that her name is Poem; it’s cute, and I love how Sakuradaimon says as much. He might be klutzy, but I love how he says what he thinks and feels without caring what people think. It’s clear he’s attracted to Poem, and I’m hoping that he won’t deny it once we get into the romance, but Poem is for sure going to be your typical feeling-denying tsundere. But after one episode, I can say that I’m enjoying this one, and the characters are one of the main reasons why. I’m not gonna get my hopes up, but let’s see if the romance progresses at all. With the manga still ongoing, I don’t think it’s likely.
