New Series “Brutus the Bound” Brings Buckets of Blood
From the warped noggin of Joe Croson (and animators Exit 73 Studios) comes the trailer for a web series called “Brutus the Bound: Infinite Gladiator.” Here’s what they want you to know:
“Brutus, a great warrior from a distant planet, is ripped from his past and taken to the future of an evil Overlord. The Overlord holds Brutus’ family hostage, and binds Brutus in a temporal harness, forcing him to become an Infinite Gladiator, fighting opponents throughout time and space.”
I don’t understand most of that description, and a couple words, but here’s what we think you should know: from the brief, minute-and-a-half YouTube clip it appears to be an amusing, adventurous gore-fest with animation reminiscent of Samurai Jack or some other kid-focused cartoon – but for adults! So if you didn’t grow up watching cartoons and/or don’t enjoy over-the-top gore in your TV or movies we can’t be friends this probably isn’t the series for you. In fact, a lot of current shows might not be for you, considering the success of uber-violent shows like Superjail! and newcomer King Star King.
However, if this sounds like it tickles you in just the right place, pull up a chair and join us if & when this show takes off, because Brutus the Bound looks like a bloody good time.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
