Bubbleblabber vs Carl’s Stone Cold Pick of the NFL Week 13: Seahawks vs Saints
Its not everyday I get to come into the NFL Week picks and have a chance to be up two games. Almost two weeks ago, Carl picked the Gints to beat my Cowboys which didn’t happen and as a result the Gints are pretty much out of the playoff picture no matter WHAT your analysts say. Then Carl put out this video before Thanksgiving promoting the fact that he was going to pick tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Saints and the Seahawks, only to pick whatever team plays the Jaguars as his ‘Stone Cold Pick of the Week’. Welp, for Week 13 the team playing the Jags aka the Browns lost out to the Jags which means Carl is on quite a losing streak. However, unlike Carl, I’m going to pick the winner for tonight’s game because I only pick winners.
New Orleans Saints
There really isn’t a lot of flaws in the Saints this year and Sean Payton is making Jerry Jones look like a fool in his picking up of Rob Ryan as his D-Coordinator. That said, the Seahawks are down two corners which should give Drew Brees’ 2nd ranked Passing Offense a good day provided that the O-line can withstand the stellar pass rush of Seattle. Not only that, but Seattle’s CenturyLink Field is one of the loudest places on Earth so that could lead to a bunch of offside penalties for New Orleans as well as some missed cadences. That could pose problems for a team that really can’t run the ball because now your telling Drew to sit in shotgun pretty much all night screaming like crazy and everyone reading hand signals. If Seattle has ANY sort of intelligence for said signals, they could have an on-field advantage.
Seattle Seahawks
Seattle and New Orleans both have stellar Pass D’s, but since this is in Seattle I’m giving the edge to my Super Bowl pick from Week 1. I think Seattle will be able to run the ball effectively against the Saints’ D which should eat up the clock and keep Drew Brees off the field and making the opposing D tired. Russell Wilson doesn’t have to do a BUNCH against New Orleans, he should be able to do enough just to get by so it will be interesting to see how he reacts to Ryan’s exotic blitz packages.
Bubbleblabber (8-4) takes the Seahawks to win 24-21
Carl (6-7)
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
