The great John Oliver to guest star on The Simpsons
John Oliver had maybe the best summer ever as he got to host The Daily Show while Jon Stewart was in Jordan filming his new movie. From the looks of it, 2014 is going to be pretty rad for John as well as according to TVLine, John Oliver recently popped into the recording booth set to play ‘Wilkes John Booth’ on The Simpsons later this year on FOX.
Evidently, Wilkes John Booth is a previously unseen neighbor of the Simpsons who Marge has never met. No word yet on what the fuck that means, so we’ll have to keep our ears to the ground on this one.
The Simpsons return on FOX with all new episodes on November 3rd.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
