The creators of Doraleous & Associates and Battlefield Friends has new stills from their upcoming project.
Right now Battlefield Friends is in its third season on Happy Hour and so far so fucking funny. That’s why I’m pretty excited about a new feature-length animated comedy film they are working on called Toonstone. These guys first made the announcement for the film at the NYCC in 2010 and since then Hank and Jed have teamed up with Neo Art and Logic and The Little Film Company.
The movie is said to follow a cowboy named Dalton set in the late 1800s of whom has to act as a town sheriff to make ends meet all the while chasing his dream of one day being a big musician. No word on a release date yet or how the movie will be released, but you can check out some screens below from the Toonstone Facebook page. Check out a trailer for the series here!
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
