Sifl and Olly are back with a little help from Nerdist Channel
1997-1999 were some pretty interesting years in regards to TV. Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon were engaged in a pretty sizable power struggle for cartoon dominance. South Park was taking the world by storm over on Comedy Central. And MTV was looking for something to fill the void that would inevitably be left by the loss of Bevis and Butt-Head. One strong contender to fill that hole (first on MTV Europe then on MTV in the States in 98) was a show about a couple of sock puppets called Sifl and Olly. And by the grace of God was this show hilarious! And just like that ::poof:: the show was gone.
Sure there were some random reruns, home releases and Machinima even had them on for a bit, but now these hilarious socks have taken up a new residence, and that new address is The Nerdist Channel on YouTube! In an awesome and ironic twist, this is the second time Chris Hardwick and S&O have been on the same network. Chris hosted the dating show Singled Out while S&O was still on air.
As the above video provides, apparently Sifl and Olly will be offering video game reviews for Nerdist Channel. Although, if the first episode is any indication, I don’t think I can see that happening with any amount consistency. Even if they don’t review a single game during their entire resurrection, it’s great to see new Sifl and Olly happening!

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
