Watch: Chintis Lundgren’s “Manivald” Trailer
And more could be on the way for the Sundance selection.
Director Chintis Lundgren is teasing a new animated short film that he produced in association with the National Film Board of Canada entitled Manivald. The 12-minute short film stars a fox who apparently is overeducated yet unemployed and lives with his mother. When his washing machine breaks, a wolf comes by in an attempt to fix it and instantly earns an infatuation of sorts by way of Manivald and as such we get trippy visuals of the lustful variety. Watch the trailer below, and look out because the producers are teasing an animated series follow up that would see the fox move out of his mother’s and potentially move into a gay bar run by a hedgehog.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
