Review: RWBY Chibi “Teenage Faunus Ninja Catgirl”

Mission impossible.

Spoilers Below:

“Teenage Faunus Ninja Catgirl”

Blake, acting like a stereotypical ninja, goes to carry out her mission. Throughout the entire day, Ruby feels like she’s being watched. Her paranoia only gets stronger when she can’t figure out who it is. Blake chases her down to the school, and when Ruby thinks she’s free, Blake has found her. What Blake wants isn’t an assassination– but to get her book back. Ruby returns the book, but Blake has run out of smoke bombs to make a flashy exit.

Score:

4/10

“The Protege”

Cardin approaches Roman, saying that he’s a huge fan. He asks Roman if he’ll take him on as a protege, but Neo is skeptical. Still, Roman gives him a chance: by framing him after robbing a dust store.

Score:

7/10

The Blake skit was okay, but nothing special.More parodying what she’s like rather than something substantial. On the other hand, the Roman skit was funny, and a little unexpected. Roman’s not the type to shy away from help, but he’s also pretty willing to use people as scapegoats as well. This did a good job at combining both.
