WE CALLED IT!!!BREAKING: LUCAS FILM SENDS OUT BULLSHIT PRESS RELEASE; Stoopid Buddy Stoodios DETOURS GETS DETOURED

We called it last year.

So yea, Lucasfilm just put out a press release stating that the Star Wars: Detours project is effectively postponed until a later date which pretty much surmises what we posted about after the Disney buyout of Lucas:

At Star Wars Celebration VI last year, George Lucas gave fans a glimpse at the animated comedy series Star Wars Detours from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, and Todd Grimes. Detours was conceived and produced before we decided to move forward with the new Star Wars trilogy, and in the wake of that decision, Lucasfilm has reconsidered whether launching an animated comedy prior to the launch of Episode VII makes sense. As a result, we’ve decided to postpone the release of Detours until a later date.

Hope you kids at home are ready from Disney-produced Star Wars! Because it looks as though now that if we do get an animated comedy based off of the popular movie franchise that its gonna be before end of the century. That said, this is kind of a horse shit call, but none too surprising given that this is what Disney loves to do. These guys HATE adult comedy. And as promising as Detours sounded (even to a non-Star Wars fan like me) I think we saw the writing of this shit on the wall.

I’ve always hated Lucasfilm and I never liked Disney. This proves that this marriage is going to work out just fine for the both of them. That said, the Stoopid guys really deserve better than this because from the looks of it they worked real hard on Detours and had a stellar voice cast lined up, only to be thwarted by the anti-Semite of a mouse. In the meantime, I recommend South Park’s Óbama Wins episode because that’s the closest your gonna see anyone really give it hard to Disney.  Oh yea, and Clone Wars got canceled…
