Watch: @RugBurnChannel debuts trailer for ”Prison Pit”
Just when you thought Superjail was probably the greatest display of animated violence ever, Rug Burn Channel has a new series on the way that might provide some competition.
Pretty much for the entire year we’ve been talking up Axe Cop a new animated series based off of a popular web comic of the same name. Since then, I’ve noticed networks looking quite a bit online looking for web comics that they too can maybe license for a series. You may know about a series called Superjail, in that its claim to fame is not only the fact that David Wain (Wanderlust) is the star, but because of its insane fight/war scenes that lead to some of the most brutal animated goodness that you could ever find.
However, the best thing about America is that no matter how far you push the envelope there’s always someone else out there ready to challenge. Give me Slayer, and I’ll retaliate with Cannibal Corpse. Give me The Exorcist, I’ll come back with Cabin in the Woods. Come after me with fists, I come back with a bat. Well, if this new trailer is any indication of what’s to come, then you kids may want to wear goggles for the blood splattering goodness that you are about to witness.
Enter Prison Pit, a new animated series inspired by the comic series of the same way coming soon to the Rug Burn Channel, an online network no stranger to awesome content like the aforementioned Axe Cop and other shows like The Executioner and Majestic Loincloth. Get a trailer below for the new Prison Pit series and make sure you don’t throw those goggles away because it looks like there’s more to come!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
