Tom Hanks and Bobby Moynihan Reteam For “The David S. Pumpkins” Halloween Special
This is Halloween.

Inspired by the popular SNL skit called “Haunted Elevator“, NBC has commissioned Bento Box Entertainment to produce a 30-minute animated special called The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special set to premiere Saturday, October 28 at 11:30 PM ET/PT.
The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special will be written and produced by Bobby Moynihan and Streeter Seidell with Moynihan, Tom Hanks, and Mikey Day reprising their roles from the popular sketch. Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) will also be part of the special.
Our Take
I’d love to see NBC jump into the late-night animation game. They tease every now and again, but if this thing becomes a hit, perhaps the network can produce some MORE SNL-inspired animation just like the good ol’ days that featured the TV Funhouse shorts.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
