Jane Henson aka the wife of Jim Henson, passed away this week at the age of 78. She was hugely instrumental in helping Jim put together technical achievements in the art of puppetry and was actually an accomplished puppeteer herself. She is survived by her and Jim’s five children, most of whom still run the Henson Companies.

 Roger Ebert

For long time readers of Bubbleblabber you may have noticed that we had recently retired our rendition of thumb scores for reviews. That said, those thumbs were more or less a ripoff of when Siskel, Ebert, and Roeper did it and we aren’t ashamed to admit it. Why should we? Roger is the greatest critic of all time and if we were going to launch a reviews site and imitate anybody it’d be him. You can really blame me either as I used to watch his TV show all the time, and I always enjoyed his visits on the Howard Stern Show over the years. Roger was 70 years at the time of his death, and he is survived by his wife Chaz.
