The New Voice Of Cleveland Brown on “Family Guy” Is…
Family Guy has tapped Arif Zaher as the new voice of “Cleveland Brown”. The news comes as earlier this year Mike Henry had stepped down in support of the black lives matter movement that saw multiple white actors step down from voicing characters of color. Says Arif of the opportunity:
“Firstly, I’m eternally grateful to have received this once in a lifetime opportunity. When I heard that Mike Henry was stepping down from the role of Cleveland Brown – my favorite cartoon character of all time – I was shocked and saddened, assuming we’d never see him again.”
To Mike Henry, Rich Appel, Alec Sulkin and Seth MacFarlane, thank you for this incredible gift. And to the millions of fans who love this show, I promise not to let you down.” – Arif Zahir
Family Guy returns with an all-new episode on FOX for it’s 350th episode @ 930 pm ET/PT, check your local listings.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
