Terrorist Organization One Million Moms Cites “The Owl House” As Demonic

I gotta tell you, I don’t know why there’s all this left and right political divisiveness, because, conservatives on both sides tow the same lines as it pertains to free speech. While extreme liberal She-Hulk writers whine about South Park,  ultra-conservatives like One Million Moms are out here spouting about how Disney Channel’s The Owl House is “demonic” and the Christian Broadcast Network has jumped in with more-or-less the same thesis.

A little background on these organizations, first. One MIllion Moms is a subsidiary of a larger organization called the American Family Association. Their goal is to make sure Jesus H. Christ is all over the media and that Christ teachings are still done on public schools. The Tupelo, Mississippi-based organization has been derided by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a terrorist organization due to the ultra-right’s fixation on discriminating members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The organization also is annoyed with any depictions of substance abuse, sex, violence, and champions political correctness whenever they can (sound familiar?).

In the case of The Owl House, One Million Moms notes that the series, created by Dana Terrace, showcases “demons, witches, and sorcery while inundating their young minds with secular worldviews that reflect the current culture.” The organization then notes that the bible is against any of these ideas, therefore, deams the series demonic and should be banned from Disney networks.

For those that don’t know,“The Owl House” is an animated fantasy-comedy series that follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda’s apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting.

Unfortunately for One Million Moms, the series has been renewed for a second season, and a new episode of The Owl House premieres this Friday Night only on Disney channel (check your local listings). But, this campaign is just another lame example of extreme political correctness trying to declare war on entertainment that they can simply not watch by changing the channel. For me, I’ll be more than happy to dine in hell with the likes of The Owl House.
