I guess they finally gave up on getting a US distributor and are just doing it themselves? I'm still surprised that Adult Swim or even Netflix didn't snap it up right away and release it a long time ago by now.

English Dub Review: Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles ” Destined Enemy”

Why has nobody mentioning the overdubbing in both the english & Japanese versions. Then there's also missing info where you must guess what's going on. Like in this episode mentioned above, when they speak Japanese in we hear nothing at all, & the only thing that appears is on screen Japanese writting. Meaning we're missing chunks of the story where it just blank. How could anyone watch the dub & not notice this? Even if you turn on english CC nothing changes except now you get words that say "speaking in a foreign language" on screen, what a cock up. The only way to figure out whats happening in these section is to switch to the sub otherwise you literally miss out on parts of the story. I messaged Crunchyroll about both these issues & they admitted there were problems they were looking into but so for nothing has changed. How can anyone review this show & not mention these glaring flaws, It's great show but it's been totally butchered. There must have been others who complained but I doubt Crunchyroll will bother fixing it this late in the game.

Are we sure Max will lose the rights then? AFAIK the Max / Paramount lawsuit over South Park is still ongoing, and it doesn't seem all that implausible that part of the resolution will be Max getting the rights for longer given that what they originally paid included an expectation that they were going to be getting a decent amount more new content than they have been.
