Yep. The former American Idol contestant turned star of NBC’s hit show Smash, Katharine McPhee will be lending her voice in an all new episode of Family Guy this upcoming Sunday night in an episode entitled “You Can’t Do That On Television, Peter”. In it she plays the role of Mother Maggie. Not sure who or what Mother Maggie is, so check in tomorrow afternoon for the full on previews and we can both find out. Meanwhile, if you are bored at work, stare at this picture for the next five hours of Katharine because I would totally slather mustard all over her and have my way…ummm tmi? Maybe…

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
