Scott Pilgrim Takes Off Into The Sunset After One Season On Netflix

Those hoping for a second season of Netflix’s Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will be disappointed to find out that producer Bryan Lee O’Malley has opted to break the news exactly one year after the show’s first season blew everyone away. In a post on X.com, O’Malley noted that he was told well in advance that the show will NOT be moving forward and further emboldens the producers’ conciseness when it came to writing the first season so as to not leave any story details left hanging so as to not have fans NEEDING a second season to resolve anything.

In Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Scott Pilgrim meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, but learns he must defeat her seven evil exes in order to date her. Then things get even more complicated. The series is inspired by O’Malley’s graphic novel series and was produced by Science SARU.
