RIP Animation Domination Hi-Def (on FOX)

Scouring about the social nets, a lot of people were surprised to see that for the first time in a few years, Animation Domination Hi-Def reruns were no longer airing on their local FOX affiliates last Saturday Night and instead was replaced by Paul Scheer’s new series Party Over Here.

That’s right folks, Animation Domination Hi-Def was an excellent programming block that featured the likes of Axe Cop, High School USA!, Golan the Insatiable, and more, but as of now it looks like the whole thing is pretty much dead. We already knew that a third season of Axe Cop wasn’t going to happen anyway which kind of sucks, too because that show was amazing. We’ve still got reruns of blocks happening on FXX Network for the foreseeable future, but new content seems to be few and far between. I asked the network what was up, and they don’t seem to have a clue. Plus, if you’ve seen the last statuses on the Facebook and Twitter pages for the once affluent programming block you would notice that a message was posted that the engine is pretty much a stop at this juncture and while the “We’ll be back soon” note sounds promising, I’m not placing any bets.

And as mentioned, the FXX block doesn’t seem to be all that active either, so those expecting new episodes of Major Lazer, Stone Quackers, and Lucas Bros. Moving Company, probably shouldn’t hold their breaths.
