Review: Red vs Blue “Lost Time”

Time warp again.

Overview:

The team ends up in many different locations.

Our Take:

Admittedly, nothing much happened this time around. Since everyone is stranded in different locations, it was mostly establishing who is with who and where everyone is. We really weren’t given much but that’s alright since it’s an establishing episode.

Grif and Donut end up in a snowy location, where they find themselves stranded. Grif is extremely irate about having to go on yet another adventure and is even more irate about being stuck with Donut. Donut finally expresses some regret for his actions, realizing that his turning traitor set up a lot in motion. The last episode he came back to the group with a divine mission, thinking that the weight of his mission would be enough for the group to accept him back with open arms. Of course, that didn’t happen, because divine mission or not, that doesn’t change the fact that he abandoned the team at a time of need. While Grif’s anger is mostly inlaid in the fact that they have to go solve another problem again, he’s not wrong at being irritated by Donut.

Sarge and Simmons have a gun of their own, but Sarge has the idea to change his past and fix the Battle of Broken Ridge. That was a fight he lived through, but a miscommunication with him and his men lead to all his men being slaughtered. It was his first day of command, and that was the experience he lived through. His men went in the wrong direction, and while being bounced back and forth between the two Sarges, end up hopelessly confused.

Caboose is the only one who figured out how to repair Lopez, and can understand what he’s saying now. He also figured out how to use the space-time gun, and ends up traveling back to the last season. He’s the best equipped of the bunch but… it’s Caboose.
