Review: Brickleberry ”High Stakes”
Spoilers Below
Woody finds out that he has no friends, that is until he meets Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. It isn’t long before Rob shows Woody a damn good time, mostly involving breaking the law in some way or fashion. Turns out Ford is a bigger asshole than Woody, and the two are now best friends. Eventually, Rob challenges Woody to a card bet which in turn leads to Woody losing the rights to the park to the Toronto Mayor.
Right off the bat, Rob starts offloading a whole bunch of animals into the Brickleberry park, and it’s pretty much chaos from the get-go. And all of this is as a result of Rob cheating at the aforementioned poker game with his friend ‘Woody’ and now the two are at war.
Ethel finds out that Malloy may be a rare type of bear and that he may be the last of his breed. However, Ethel and Connie discover that there may be another of Malloy’s type, and that they are flying this she-bear in to mate with Malloy so that they can breed. To help, the girls dress up as bears so as to show Malloy the ropes and yea, he seems intrigued to say the least. Unfortunately, when Malloy meets the bitch we find out this bear bitch is kinda retarded. To help, Ethel decides to give the she-bear named ”Mallory” a make-over, but you can’t fix stupid. When that fails, Ethel decides to tranq Malloy to get a sperm sample to go along with Mallory’s egg.
It’s here that Woody decides to offer up Malloy for hunting in exchange for getting his park back. Malloy fucks Mallory, but she gets shot by Rob Ford before the procreation can really work. Ford loses the park on the bet.
Meanwhile, Steve tries to lose weight so he can look just like Denzel, but nothing seems to work. That is until he comes in contact with drinking Malloy’s cum causing him to puke like crazy.
I can’t recall another animated series doing as good as a job at shitting on Rob Ford as Brickleberry. And yes, Stern fans are going to be talking about the fact that Sal the Stockbroker had a voice cameo for two seconds (and yes, seeing Richard and Sal was rather hysterical), but there was SO much going on this week, that the cameos fell by the wayside. John Dimaggio (Futurama) continues his hot streak as he voiced both ‘Mallory’ and ‘Rob’, and I gotta say…he did a great job. I mean, in both cases John had to play a different brand of stupid, and it worked both times. Malloy’s build up to having to bang out Mallory was awesome, and Daniel Tosh continues to expand as a voice actor as he delves into to the inevitable job requirement of making ‘sex talk’. Ethel yet again delivers another strong episode, this time going so far as to jerk off a bear.
As a matter of fact, this week’s episode again felt more like a Yucko episode. Why? Well, no one is better at insults than Yucko, and this week he hits HARD. From Bruce Jenner, to the aforementioned Rob Ford, the producers continues to make this a ‘Damn Show’, and that’s when the series is at its best. Steve losing weight was a bit of a throw-away, but overall Brickleberry does a great job this week.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
