Review: Apollo Gauntlet “Pilot”

We have our winner and it’s not even really close.

A cop from Earth is trapped in another world, but equipped with his talking gauntlets, Apollo Gauntlet is still able to fight bad guys all the moon-walking the fuck over them right afterwards.

Our Take

Apollo Gauntlet was already good back when it was a Rug Burn series, and now with a bigger budget, our titular hero is able to showcase his comedy flexes in a newer light and boy I couldn’t be happier. The gauntlets are funny, but Apollo has enough one-liners to make you want to watch this pilot over and over again just so you can catch them all. Fans of MacGruber would eat this shit up, and rightfully so, because it’s by far the best of the new Adult Swim pilots.
