Netflix Orders “Bad Crimes” From “King of the Hill” Creators
Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have been busy. After the recent announcement that they had helped sell a series to Freeform, the duo are back at it again with Netflix who has ordered a dark animated comedy from the duo entitled Bad Crimes. Ten episodes are on the way with Nicole Byer and Lauren Lapkus starring as two FBI agents who travel the country fighting crimes all-the-while attempting to balance their personal lives in the realms of dating, working up the ladder, and more. Dustin Davis and Erica Hayes are helping produce the series that is being created by Nicole Silverberg.
Update 1/18: THR is reporting that Daniels and Judge are co-producing a number of animated series currently in various levels of development via their Bandera Entertainment banner. Alison Bechdel’s Dykes to Watch Out for is getting an adaptation along with series from Zach Woods/Jimmy O. Yang/Mr. Cartoon, a “Breaking Bad”-esque animated comedy, and even a revival of King of the Hill!
