Jeff Dunham Goes Animated with “Achmed Saves America!”

Well, well, well, it looks as if Jeff Dunham has decided to cross over into a different style of entertainment and has brought to us a fully animated flick! And it looks great! The animation style is very Brickleberry/Family Guy and from what I can tell from the trailer it’s going to be a telling of Achmed’s back-story, which on the stage is funny but in the animated world could really come to life.

Beyond the little teaser we get about the story line, Dunham and gang let two huge nuggets of info out at the end. The DVD already has a release date of March 18 and there will be an official air-date for CMT on March 28. This scares me a bit as to how poorly CMT mismanaged the Jeff Foxworthy lead Bounty Hunters. Let’s hope they take the time to actually PROMOTE this project and not just hope for the best.
