Here are Five Adult Swim pilots that we need answers for at this year’s Upfronts 2015

We’ve been doing Upfront check ups on FOX and Comedy Central, and now we take a look at five Adult Swim pilots that need an updated status by the time Upfronts 2015 rolls around for the network.

Ubermansion

Back in 2013, Adult Swim ran a contest where they streamed a bunch of pilots and fans got to pick which one they liked the best. The one they liked the best would then get a full-time series on Adult Swim proper. Ubermansion won that and with good reason, the pilot was awesome. Since then, the runners-up, Mr. Pickles and King Star King, have had full seasons aired on Adult Swim with really no sign of this series showing its face. At Upfronts 2015, someone needs to answer why this Bryan Cranston-starrer isn’t on TV by now. Other programs that were announced at the time of the Upfronts 2013, Rick and Morty, Mike Tyson Mysteries, even the Robot Chicken: DC Comics Special II, have all come to pass with a few of them already coming back for second seasons. We need to get answers from ths pronto.

Dream Corp LLC

This rotoscope hybrid was announced last year, but I haven’t seen a screen shot! You know what other series was announced at Upfronts last year? The Jack and Triumph Show. That series has since premiered and is kicking ass, but still no sign of Dream Corp LLC. An update needs to happen.

Harold and Kumar: The Animated Series

Adult Swim just ended one animated franchise inspired by a movie, but we are still waiting for THIS one to happen. The series was first announced several years ago, and I know Bento Box has been working on production, but we need a start date/time to be announced at Upfronts because this thing should be on TV by now.

Colonel Wallace

This pilot was announced alongside a number of other ones a couple years back along with other shows like Coffin Dodgers, Rolling with Dad, and a number of others that have since went to television. I would have liked to have seen this one come to fruition, and although the series has probably fallen by the wayside, it sucks that this was the ONE pilot from that crop that never happened.

Team Unicorn

Another one announced in 2013 that we’ve seen some stills for, but we haven’t seen anything in terms of a pilot. Other than Robot Chicken, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios has had a tough job launching a second show on Adult Swim…maybe it’s time they start shopping elsewhere?
