gen: Lock Headed To Toonami
A major step up for Rooster Teeth.
The first season of gen: Lock will get a linear television premiere for Adult Swim starting on August 3rd in the latest sign of growing assimilation among WarnerMedia brands like Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, and others.
Fifty years in the future, an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world. A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world. The half-hour series stars Michael B. Jordan (who is also a producer) as well as Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams, Kōichi Yamadera, Golshifteh Farahani, Asia Kate Dillon, and David Tennant.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
