FOX Wants To See A Pilot For “Lyle & Caroline” Featuring Lisa Kudrow
What a way to end the year!
Lisa Kudrow (Friends) is set to voice one of the lead characters in Lyle & Caroline, a a family show driven by the friendship of Lyle & Caroline – a surrogate grandparent/grandchild bond forms in an unexpected way. Kudrow will be voicing Caroline, the high school-aged grandchild and will also be a producer on the series that is being written/executive produced by Eric and Justin Stangel (Late Show with David Letterman).
FOX has ordered a pilot presentation from the Lionsgate/3 Arts joint.
Our Take
This caps off a VERY busy year for FOX animation in which they’ve been ordered series and pilots left and right and have even helped sell a few series to streaming services. Lisa Kudrow’s best known voice performance is that of “Wanda” on BoJack Horseman of which she’s excellent and would make for a great lead for an adult animated series.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
