New episodes of Rick and Morty are expected to drop possibly end of 2019/early 2020 with a 70 episode backorder coming from Adult Swim last year all this despite extremist fans that are clearly taking things too seriously. In the meantime, the brand continues to release comics, merch, home releases, and more which should more than satiate the die-hards long enough to get us a quality season.
Rick and Morty is the critically acclaimed, half-hour animated hit comedy series on Adult Swim that follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez is living with his daughter Beth’s family and constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades.
Rick and Morty stars Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live), and Spencer Grammer (Greek). The series is created by Dan Harmon (Community) and Roiland who also serve as executive producers. Jessica Gao, writer of the “Pickle Rick” episode, will not be returning for Rick and Morty’s fourth season.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
