Exclusive: Updates on Various Mondo Media Projects: Dick Figures Movies, Like Share Die, more
I think the departure of one time VP Aaron Simpson is starting to show sores on Mondo Media’s future. Sources have told me that a number of promising projects that were at one time in development, don’t appear to be so any longer. Whether or not that’s directly as a result of Aaron’s leaving remains to be seen, but suffice it to say, this doesn’t sound good.
Right now, it’s all bad news. For starters, Fusion’s Like Share Die, hasn’t been ordered for any additional episodes. I’m told that could change, but as of now, the series is NOT in development.
Even way worse news, movie adaptations for Deep Space 69, Happy Tree Friends, and Dick Figures the Movie 2 have all been halted with no sign of a new green light.
Fortunately, it sounds like the Canadian stuff i.e. Night Sweats is still looking good, but as of now, a number of projects from Mondo Media are fledgling at best. Occasionally, Mondo does post pilots from time to time, but other than that, the once prominent source for Youtube cartoons has a barrel in its mouth with a toe on the trigger.
