Disney Channel checks in with busy December 2016 Schedule
There’s only one night to remember here, but it’s a busy night.
Disney Channel has released a brief schedule for their December 2016 programming highlights, and really it all comes down to one night…next Friday. The caveat is that we are getting THREE-holiday specials featuring Mickey, Elena, and a LEGO adaptation of Frozen. Get listings information below:
Friday, December 09
Elena of Avalor “Navidad”
(7:30 – 8:00 P.M. EST)
Elena brings all the communities of Avalor together to share each other’s holiday traditions. But when a Doña PALOMA scheme causes an overly competitive atmosphere, Elena sets off on a traditional “parranda” and carols through the city to remind everyone of the true spirit of Navidad.
*Latin Grammy Award-winner Gaby Moreno guest stars as Marlena, and Constance Marie recurs as Doña Paloma.
Friday, December 09
LEGO Frozen Northern Lights “LEGO Disney Frozen: Northern Lights”
(8:00 – 8:30 P.M. EST)
“LEGO Disney Frozen Northern Lights,” a compilation of four all-new animated shorts from the LEGO Group, is a new story from the kingdom of Arendelle with voice talent from the movie reprising their roles. The shorts lend not only LEGO’s unique stylized animation, but also its humor to the world of “Frozen.” Kids and families will follow Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven on an epic adventure to restore the glimmer of the Northern Lights.
Friday, December 09
Disney Mickey Mouse “Duck the Halls: A Mickey Mouse Christmas Special”
(8:30 – 9:00 P.M. EST)
It’s touch-and-go for Donald when, instead of heading south for the winter with Daisy and all the other ducks for the winter, he insists on staying with Mickey and the gang to enjoy all that Christmas has to offer.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
