Comics Review: Rick and Morty #37
Does this month’s issue just suck?

Overview (Spoilers Below)
“Let the Rick One In, Part One”
This month’s issue sets up a multi-issue arc where Morty becomes a vampire and Summer is close to becoming one her self, unless if she can keep the teenagers at bay with their angst-ridden issues.
“Extra Jerry”
Jerry becomes an extra on a movie set but gets his scene cut out, but his role could be more prominent in yet another arc launched this issue.
Our Take
Some of the early dialogue in “Let the Rick One In, Part One” is rather hokey, but as time goes on, the plot gets way more fun and filled with subtle twists that keep you hooked. Yes, we’ve seen a dozen vampire stories, but to see the popular trope thrown in a Rick and Morty blender is an entertaining read. I was less impressed with “Extra Jerry”, but with the cliffhanger at the end, there’s hope that this could turn out to be a decent arc as well.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
