Comics Review: Rick and Morty #27
Fortunately, there’s another “Rick and Morty” comic coming next week.

Spoilers Below
This month’s issue of Rick and Morty features a premise all around the kids needing dates to go to the school dance and Rick trying to help but really at the end of the day the only one getting a dance is Rick who of course Rickety, rickety, WRECKS that dance floor. The second bit entitled “Rick and Jerry in: Look Who Talking Chthulu Now” has Rick disproving Jerry’s theory that our country is run by lizards and instead Rick introduces Chthulu to Jerry. Turns out, the Chthulu is a pretty chill dude who just sleeps all day.
Our Take
Overall, the second strip was WAY better than the first. #27 features a tired premise coupled with an art direction that isn’t my favorite and drippy drab dialogue that features none of the punchy zing that Rick and Morty is known for. “Rick and Jerry” was actually quite a bit better in every department that the original story fails in, but is not enough to save the issue.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
