Alison Brie Regrets Taking ‘BoJack Horseman’ Role Of “Diane”
The apologies tour continues as Alison Brie is the latest to speak up regarding the recent rash of white voice actors having second thoughts on taking PoC roles. With the likes of Central Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons, and Big Mouth looking to recast PoC roles, former voice of BoJack Horseman’s “Diane” aka Alison Brie posted a statement saying more or less that she regrets taking the role and that PoC actors should be the only ones playing PoC characters.
“We missed a great opportunity to represent Vietnamese-American community accurately and respectively, and for that I am truly sorry.”
Raphael Bob-Waksberg recently released a statement of his own regarding the casting of “Diane” though this is probably a moot point now given BoJack Horseman finished up it’s final season earlier this year for Netflix. The chances of renewal with the same cast seems unlikely now.
Our Take
What’s not talked about is how the producers of BoJack Horseman also foolishly let a human actor voice the role of the show’s titular character whom is also a horse. Like, they definitely could’ve found horses to and dogs and cats to voice the roles of the various BoJack characters because, they deserve those chances also.
Synopsis:

The show is a Tornante Production, brought to life by Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
