Adult Swim News: Trap Universe, The Jellies, And More
Adult Swim is getting more creative with where it’s sending it’s series for streaming. With Venture Bros. making it’s way over onto HBO MAX starting August 13th, Hulu has become the new streaming home for Momma Named Me Sheriff season two and Dream Corp LLC season three, the latter of which appears to be “on ice” for future seasons according to one of the show’s stars. We also have news on cancellations that you can see down below, more as it develops.

After two seasons, Adult Swim’s The Jellies has been canceled as confirmed by show star Earl Skakel.

Show creator JJ Villard has confirmed that Adult Swim has opted not to move forward with Trap Universe as a series. The adult animated pilot originally premiered in 2018 and was written by Ben Joseph and featured the voices of Rachel Butera, Walt Dorhn, and JJ Villard.
Synopsis:
The unholy demon offspring of a preschool show, a workplace sitcom, and a grindhouse thriller, TRAP UNIVERSE follows a good-hearted fixer named EDDIE G as he and his family try to survive working for TRAP LORD, the wealthiest (and most corrupt) business tycoon in the entire universe.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
