ABC Sets 2016 Return of ‘The Muppets’ plus announce Dave Grohl and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as guest stars
We actually have new episodes of The Muppets running through December, however next year’s return of the freshman series on ABC has just become apparent.
ABC has JUST released its schedule for next year, and The Muppets plan to finish its first season run on Tuesday, February 2nd @ 8 pm ET/PT. This will essentially be another reboot for the series as the show goes through some changes which you can read about here.
The network is somewhat committed to the series, having ordered a complete first season of The Muppets just recently, however the wait until February for new episodes is somewhat curious to say the least.
For this year, Mindy Kaling has already been announced to show up before Christmas, plus TV Guide just got the scoop that Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl will be coming on the show to challenge Animal to a drum-off. Also, Variety is reporting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is coming on December 1st in an episode entitled “Going, Going, Gonzo” where he joins Scooter, Pepe and the crew for poker night after performing a duet with Miss Piggy on her late-night show
Chelsea Handler is guest-starring on an all-new episode of The Muppets airing tonight @ 8 pm ET/PT only on ABC.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
