Review: Sanjay and Craig “Boulder Rollers”

The kids are trying to push a boulder down the hill, but can’t because it’s so big. Craig doesn’t want to listen to the ideas of others, so he comes up with one of his own…check out some magnetic snakes located at the Earth’s core. Eventually it’s found out that that idea is bull shit, so the kids decide to work together this time WITH Craig, and the boulder gets sent down the hill and smashes trailer homes and cars before it breaks up into pieces and ends up in the water.

Our Take

This was the worst episode of season three so far. I’ll forget that the premise of the episode was about kids pushing a rock, but then something happened. Half-way down Craig’s journey to the center of Earth, he starts stealing the TLC jokes famously made by Michael Keaton in The Other Guys, and couldn’t help but throw my remote across the room. Seriously? A team of writers works on this show and we start stealing jokes? I mean, I totally understand when Chris Hardwick steals jokes because he naturally sucks, but for the writers of this show to do it, I’m rather ashamed.
