Shorts Review: “Batman Arkham Knight Parody: I Never Use Guns!”
As most people have probably picked up on, Batman – though constantly being fired at from an endless amount of criminals with various weapons – never personally uses guns. However, the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight video game will feature a Batmobile equipped with a Vulcan gun, a giant 60mm cannon, multiple missiles, and a riot-suppressor – raising a few eyebrows of the old-school fans.
Although the Caped Crusader claims to only use these weapons defensively, and in order to thwart but not kill his enemies, animator JonnyEthco (Jon Ethridge of Appsro Animation, the company behind the Minecraft spoof Mob Squad) decided to have a little fun with the idea.
The plot basically involves Batman (with the Christian Bale-esque voice) showing off the Batmobile’s guns to Alfred while attempting to justify their inclusion. The animation is simple & silly, the voice acting is over the top, and the writing is nothing to phone home about, but it still came together nicely for a funny little two-minute clip.
Despite only being a casual fan of Batman and the superhero genre, I still found myself laughing multiple times at the little jokes, and would recommend this clip for anyone looking for a quick & easy laugh.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
