FOX Developing new fantasy-animated series from ”Megaminds”
According to Deadline.com, FOX is developing yet another family comedy, only this time they are working with the guys who wrote the popular animated feature film Megamind.
The series is called Dark Lord Of Delaware:
The project, now in development, centers on Zarbus, a man who must deal with the conflicting emotions of being a stay at home dad after losing his job. The situation is made all the more challenging by the fact his previous position was that of a Voldemort-like evil sorcerer who once ruled over a magical kingdom. Now banished to our world, he must navigate the social minefield of suburbia while keeping his omnipotent powers in check.
For starters it almost has shades of Golan the Insatiable does it not? Golan’s premise revolves around a fantastical character who is banished to our world and has to live with a family, and Dark Lord of Delaware doesn’t sound too dissimilar at the moment.
As mentioned the series is being written by Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simon are executive producing with Marcus Wiley. 20th Century FOX TV is producing the series, and we will bring you more news as it develops.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
