Shorts Review: Losing It With John Stamos featuring Shiri Appleby
Spoilers Below
The Losing It reviews (with yours truly) are back!
This week (or whatever week this episode came out) Stamos’ guest was Shiri Appleby. Shiri has starred in a whole multitude of things that I haven’t seen. One of those things was a show called Roswell – which I think sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I’m not sure. Anyway, in an early scene of the show, Shiri was required to have an orgasm, but at the time of filming she was 20 and hadn’t actually lost her virginity yet. So basically she faked her way through a fake orgasm. Though the more I think about that fact, the more it doesn’t add up. Shiri claimed her parents scared her away from boys, warning her that they all were only after one thing. Understandable, but you’re telling me she never had a solo session? Or, like, saw someone act out an orgasm on TV or in a movie? Come on! (Pun intended.)
Later that year she finally did lose it, and immediately afterward she began telling everybody of her triumph. Everywhere she went.
To be honest, the story itself isn’t that funny. And besides the bit about being a late bloomer, it isn’t especially unique in any way either. However, it’s at least a cute tale, helped by the fact that Shiri is a cute girl – in both looks and personality. She and Stamos also mixed well together during their chat, perhaps because they apparently made out in a film, or show, or something I’m too lazy to look up.
I’d also like to add that I didn’t particular care for the puppets in this episode. And that’s a bombshell that I just dropped on y’all, because I’m a dude that enjoys his puppets and puppet-based humor. But in this case, they just didn’t add anything to the story. They tried, but the first puppet joke ended up being pretty lame, and rather annoying. Especially when you have to watch the episode multiple times to write a cartoon review.
Sorry, Stamos. Not this time.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
