REVIEW: AMERICAN DAD “THE UNBRAVE ONE”

Steve wants to show Stan that he’s a macho man—a superhero, in fact. Meanwhile, Francine has an identity crisis after getting some surprising news that could permanently alter the Smith family dynamic.

Spoilers Below

Stan gets into a fight at the movie theater with Steve providing background vocals. Understandably, Stan thinks his son is a pussy so when Fran tells him about a potential new baby on the way, Stan’s excited because he might actually get a kid that isn’t a douche. Steve on the other hand, dons a superhero alter-ego to try and prove his dad wrong, but really he’s still a pussy just with a costume on…as a matter of fact he can’t even fake it ala Kick-Ass style…mainly because Roger takes all the credit for being the hero.

Stan throws a party celebrating all of the country’s heroes, which includes Sully Sullenberger the “Miracle on the Hudson” pilot! Before long, Steve dons the outfit again and comes to the rescue for a mother and his baby, leading Stan to call a beating on to Roger. None of it matters however as it turns out the pregnancy scare does not come to fruition. But the real prize is the unexpected ending!

Wow, what a way to finish up an all-new Animation Domination for the New Year!  We get Sully Sullenberger on American Dad which is a story that is near and dear to my heart, but there were a lot of great jokes tonight. John McCain opening up an envelope full of glitter had me chucking up laughing, and the Best Buy parody was so spot on and was greatly timed coming a week after Christmas where everyone and their brother had to deal with the same shitty customer service as Roger did.
