English Dub Review: Agents of the Four Seasons “Dusk”

Overview
The young Agent of Autumn and her Guard go about their lives in a high-tech fortress.

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, the story introduces the Autumn Agent, Nadeshiko, whose sheltered but gentle personality immediately makes her stand out. Her bond with Rindo was easily the emotional core of the episode, balancing warmth and quiet sadness as he tries to protect her while hiding how deeply he truly cares. At the same time, the lingering tension surrounding Hinagiku, Sakura, and the Winter representatives continues building in the background, with everyone carrying unresolved guilt and anticipation for what’s to come.

Much of the proceedings spends a lot of time on yearning, emotional distance, and the scars left behind by past events, while steadily building a strong sense of escalation beneath the quieter moments. Nadeshiko’s innocence contrasts heavily with the darker atmosphere surrounding the Agents, and Rindo’s devotion adds even more emotional weight to the growing danger surrounding them. Even during the calmer scenes, there’s an uneasy feeling that something terrible is approaching, all culminating in a massive cliffhanger that completely shifts the tone by the end.

Overall, this episode delivered some of the series’ strongest emotional tension yet, especially in its final moments. The sudden shift from calm character interactions into outright chaos was genuinely shocking and perfectly captured how fragile the Agents’ lives really are. While the story still leaves many mysteries unanswered, the atmosphere, character dynamics, and sense of looming danger continue to make this one of the most emotionally intense shows of the season.
