Adult Swim Confirms May 2027 Release Window for ‘Rick and Morty’ Season 10

Following the conclusion of Season 9 in July 2026, showrunner Scott Marder and co-creator Dan Harmon have officially locked in the target release timeline for the 10th season of Rick and Morty. The hit animated sci-fi comedy is scheduled to return in May 2027, solidifying an annual release model for the long-running series that will also include the 100th episode.

A New Era of Consistency

Historically infamous for long and unpredictable multi-year gaps between seasons, Adult Swim’s flagship animated show has transitioned into a predictable broadcast rhythm.

Season 8 and Season 9 both adopted a late-spring rollout, airing weekly 10-episode runs from May through July in 2025 and 2026, respectively. Marder confirmed that Season 10 will follow the exact same template, running straight through its summer slate without mid-season hiatuses.
