English Dub Review: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen “The Cruel Queen Speaks”

Overview:

Pride knows what lies in store for Leon, and she is determined to safeguard her fiancé’s happiness. However, Pride’s friends worry that she isn’t safeguarding her own.

Our Take:

Pride and Leon almost had sex, and I don’t know which part surprised me more. The part where it almost happened, or the fact that Leon tried to do it after we learned more about him. We find out that he’s not actually a womanizer, and that rumor was spread because he was seen letting multiple girls down easily. So what led him to try such a bold thing with Pride? Equally surprising was the fact that Pride was willing to, but she could tell his heart wasn’t in it.

Pride tells Leon that if he does what she says, then he will get what his heart desires. She tells him that he must not leave his castle for the next week, no matter what; the last day is especially important. I could be wrong, but based on how the episode ends, it looks like his brothers are trying to set him up for something nefarious. He wasn’t going to leave the castle, so they decided to have a drink with him instead, but he woke up in a tavern, not sure how he got there. Let’s hope this was something Pride foresaw.
