English Dub Review: The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom “My Beautiful Lady”
Overview
The ocean has turned black with Pearl’s rage. Can Tiararose and Aquasteed restore it?
Our Take
Picking up where the previous episode left off, this installment of The Villainess Is Adored leans heavily into emotional tension as misunderstandings and outside interference push the central relationships to their limits. A love potion scheme spirals into a messy situation that tests trust and loyalty, leaving the main couple in a painful, uncertain position. While the premise introduces heightened drama, much of the focus remains on how the characters respond to these strained circumstances, with moments that highlight both their vulnerabilities and the strength of their bonds.
As the conflict unfolds, the episode explores themes of regret, accountability, and the consequences of impulsive actions. Certain character choices may feel frustrating or questionable, especially when it comes to how easily some actions are forgiven, but they still serve to push the narrative toward resolution. At the same time, the story balances its heavier emotional beats with its signature whimsical elements, incorporating magical solutions and symbolic gestures that reflect the protagonist’s gentle nature and unique strengths.
Overall, this episode delivers a dramatic yet somewhat uneven progression that prioritizes emotional payoff over strict realism, offering a mix of tension, heartfelt moments, and light fantasy charm. While some developments may feel rushed or overly convenient, the focus on reaffirming relationships and resolving conflict keeps it engaging, setting the stage for a more decisive and hopefully satisfying conclusion.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
