English Dub Review: Fire Force “Savior”
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
The final pillar rises and Titan Infernal appears with a shockingly familiar face and begins to distort the world as Shinra and Sho finally reunite to stop the ritual.
OUR TAKE
For being the final season of this series, we’ve gotten a lot of starts and stops, and it looks like we’re not done with that yet. It looks like we’re done with all of the rising pillars and fighting Titan Infernals (although I would like to see what the second through sixth Titans looked like and who took those down, but I understand them not wanting to pad all of this out more than it already kind feels like they have) and the White Clad’s plan to begin the Great Cataclysm again can finally truly begin. For reals this time. And their final step in regards to these Titans is to make the last one look like the Second Coming of Saint Raffles the First, the supposed founder of the Holy Sol Temple (although we know that this was actually Yona who stole his identity to start this religion after the first failed Great Cataclysm). Considering the world of this show is deeply religious, there are expectedly a lot of people who see this and think this is good, like having their Jesus come back to rapture them up to heaven. Which is then why it’s probably a shock to hear that savior say that everyone must go up in flames, which is also easier than ever since the increased proximity to Adolla is causing even more Human Combustion than ever.
But on the upside, it’s also making every pyrokinetic’s powers even stronger, so once Company 8 rolls out to help out in the open, Shinra races off to deal with this last Titan personally, as well as proclaim himself the hero he always wanted to be to save people in opposition to this fake Raffles saying everyone must die. Obviously a fight with this much fire power is going to get people hurt, so Iris fully uses her powers as the Eighth Pillar (like the person kind not the stone kind) to protect people. Shinra does battle with Fairie (remember him?) and finally reunites with Sho in a touching if brief moment, and then actually beats the fake Raffles rather easily with one speedy blow! However, seeing him destroy something that looked like their founder, even if it explicitly was trying to kill them, turns the public against Shinra, calling him a devil like he has always hated. With that, he disappears, and apparently won’t be around for at least a few episodes so…hopefully things are still good?

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
