Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle Is Already Breaking Records At Box Office

The latest Demon Slayer film, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle,” is already breaking records ahead of its U.S. theatrical release. According to a press release, Fandango announced that the movie has achieved the title of “best first-day ticket pre-seller for an anime film of all time.”

The highly anticipated film surpassed the previous records set by the franchise’s own “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train” and “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” during its first 24 hours of ticket sales.

The film’s domestic success in Japan has already been monumental. Since its July 18, 2025 release, it has become the fastest movie to earn ¥10 billion and has climbed to become one of the top-grossing films in Japanese history, surpassing Frozen and Your Name.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle” is the first of a planned trilogy that will conclude the animated series. The film is set to be released in U.S. theaters on September 12, 2025.
