After an extreme experience, Ham, Judy, and Moon get whole new outlooks on life ; Beef rushes to stop his kids from suffering a terrible fate.

Our Take

I hope you liked that double-attack of The Great North because these are the last new episodes we get for a month.

Ironically, both of these episodes actually go great together because both are chock full about having new experiences. Whether it was Ham, Judy, and Moon messing around with a new faith, Wolf and Honeybee experiencing marriage after the honeymoon is over, or Beef and Moon putting themselves out there for love, The Great North’s best episodes are when it’s characters are taking on new experiences…or adventures as they call them.

Probably the two funniest bits of the evening were Wolf and Honeybee figuring out their marriage because we really don’t spend a LOT of time in their own little home, rather, we always seem to get those two as they are kicking things off in Beef’s cabin so it was nice to see a little variety in setting. The other was Aunt Dirt and her escapade in the senior nursing home though we don’t really get to see her have it out with the perps that left her there in the first place.

Overall we got two solid episodes of The Great North for the price of one. Both featured similar premises with original plots that delve into personal issues that everyone in the family can relate to. Moreover, both I think plant seeds for new developments in the future should we get new episodes of The Great North. Will the relationships for Beef and Moon continue to develop? Do we get to explore Wolf and Honeybee’s new digs? Hopefully these are answers to questions we’ll get sometime in the near future.
